Excel Data Analysis
This one-day training course is designed to provide participants with the skills to carry out analysis of large Excel files generated by database systems such as by Mainsaver Computerised Maintenance Management Systems. These Excel worksheets can have in excess of 20,000 rows of data often in plain text format only.
Topics covered include:
- Calculations and Formulas
- Autosum options
- Converting data formats (text to date, text to number, etc.)
- Creating new columns using formulas to facilitate analysis
- Autofilling long columns
- Resizing columns and rows
- Sorting data
- Filtering data
- Creating subtotals
- Creating new worksheets
- Copying filtered data to new worksheets
- Copying subtotal data to new worksheets
- Absolute and relative referencing
- Pivot tables
- Creating basic charts and graphs.
This workshop features hands-on demonstration and practice with sample Excel files tailored to the client's needs.
Participants are supplied with a comprehensive manual which covers all topics featured in the workshop.
